Olympic Ave Kindergarten is proud to be one of 100 preschool services from across Australia selected to take part in the 2018 ELSA Pilot.
The ELSA Pilot is a key early childhood initiative of the Australian Government. It supports the “Inspiring all Australians in digital literacy and STEM” measure, which seeks to increase the participation of Australian children in STEM and improve their digital literacy.
ELSA is a play-based digital learning program for children in preschool to explore science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM). ELSA allows children to play, experiment and make sense of the world around them and encourages children to ask questions, make predictions, experiment, and reflect on what happened and why.
The digital activities are delivered via ELSA children apps, which are available at the preschool service on their iPad and/or Android tablets.
Olympic Ave Kindergarten are grateful for the support of Terry White Chemmart Cheltenham – part of Cheltenham Friendly Society and Rotary Club of Cheltenham for providing funding for 6 of the 12 required iPads to participate in this program.
