Olympic Avenue Kindergarten (OAK) is rated as exceeding the National Quality Standard
(NQS). Since the rating system commenced in 2012 OAK has been rated as an exceeding
service.

The NQS assesses all early childhood education and care services against a national
benchmark and rates them in seven areas of quality;

(i) Educational program and practice

(ii) Children’s health and safety

(iii) Physical environment

(iv) Staffing arrangements

(v) Relationships with children

(vi) Collaborative partnerships with families and communities and

(vii) Governance and leadership.

Children’s education and care services with an Exceeding NQS quality rating have been assessed as going above and beyond what is expected at the Meeting NQS level.

The exceeding rating at OAK is due to the collaborative work and commitment to excellence
of the Educators, management and the Committee of Management.
